The history of Korea's mail and postage stamps covers the development of postal services in Korea, a state on the Korean Peninsula in East Asia, until its division in 1945 into two states - northern (DPRK) and southern (Republic of Korea). The issue of its own postage stamps began in 1884, and since 1900 the Korean Empire was a member of the Universal Postal Union.
