The official currency of Russia is the Russian ruble. 1 ruble is equal to 100 kopecks. Since 1997, the following coins have been minted: 1, 5, 10, 50 kopecks and 1, 2, 5, 10 and 25 rubles. Many commemorative and anniversary coins of different denominations are issued in Russia from expensive and inexpensive metals.
