The monetary unit of the Republic of Poland is the Polish zloty. Initially, the zloty was divided into 30 groschen and equaled half a kopeck; since 1924 it has been divided into 100 groschen. Currently in circulation there are coins - 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 groschen and 1, 2, 5 zloty. Also legal tender are commemorative coins (made of precious metals) with denominations from 10 zlotys to 1 thousand zlotys.
