Jewelry is products made from precious metals and their alloys and stones. Costume jewelry is jewelry made from inexpensive materials: metals, alloys, glass, ceramics, wood and others. In ancient times, jewelry and adornments were also assigned a certain magical value; the belief that some jewelry can serve as protection against “magical spells” has survived to this day.
