Foreign stocks and bonds
Among foreign securities, especially among French ones, African and Indo-Chinese colonial themes were widespread. In France, the Colonial Bank was created in 1875, so there are many examples of shares reflecting the colonial theme: “The Main Company of African Trading Enterprises”, “The Mediterranean Grape Company in Algeria”, “The New French Company in the Congo”.
