The Kingdom of Tonga is a state in Polynesia. Since 1967, a monetary unit has been introduced - the pa'anga or Tongan dollar (before that there was the Tongan pound). There are coins in circulation in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 paanga (the 1 paanga coin was minted in the shape of a rectangle with rounded edges). The 1st and 2nd seniti coins are out of circulation (the 50th seniti coin was minted in the shape of a dodecagon).
