The monetary unit of Mongolia is the tugrik. 1 tugrik is equal to 100 mungu. Currently, mungu is no longer used. During the times of socialism (since 1925), coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 50 mungu and 1 tugrik were in circulation in Mongolia. Currently in circulation are coins in denominations of 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 tugriks. Commemorative and commemorative coins are also issued.
