The modern monetary unit of the People's Republic of China is the yuan. One yuan is divided into 10 jiao, which in turn are divided into 10 fen. In circulation there are coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5 fen, 1 and 5 jiao, 1 yuan. In 2009, a set of commemorative gold and silver coins was issued to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The set consists of five coins: three gold and two silver, which are legal tender in the PRC.
Among them, the 1kg round commemorative coin is an exquisite masterpiece, it contains 1kg of 99.9% pure gold, its diameter is 90mm, its face value is 10,000 yuan, and its mintage is only 100 pieces. The 5-ounce gold commemorative coin, with a face value of 2,000 yuan, is limited to 600 pieces. The weight of the 100-yuan round gold coin will be 1/4 ounce, the circulation volume will be 60 thousand copies. The exquisite 1kg round silver commemorative coin is made of a kilogram of the highest purity silver 99.9%, its diameter is 100mm, the face value is 300 yuan, the mintage is 6000 pieces. The 1 oz 10 yuan commemorative silver coin is limited to 100,000 pieces.
