The list of coins of the State of Israel includes all series of monetary units in circulation since 1948. Until this year, the State of Israel did not exist, and accordingly, no means of payment were issued. The official units of exchange in Israel over the years were the mile, the prut, the agora, the Israeli pound (lira), the new agora, the shekel and the new shekel.
