Since 1967, the official currency of the Sultanate of Brunei is the Brunei Ringgit or Brunei Dollar.
The coins of the sultanate are called sen. 1 Brunei dollar is equal to 100 sen. Since 1967, coin denominations have been established: 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 sen. Coins are minted from bronze and copper-nickel alloy.
