On January 10, 1992, a series of the first three stamps of the Russian Federation came into circulation. The issue was dedicated to the XVI Winter Olympic Games in Albertville. In miniatures, artist Yuri Artsimenev depicted sports such as Nordic combined, freestyle and bobsleigh. In February 1992, the first issue of standard stamps of the Russian Federation in denominations of 20 and 30 kopecks took place. They depicted St. George the Victorious and the “Millennium of Russia” monument. The first postal block was published in January 1992 and was dedicated to nature conservation. The first commemorative issue took place in February 1992 - it was a postal block dedicated to the 750th anniversary of the Battle of the Ice.
