The history of mail and postage stamps of Belarus includes periods corresponding to the postal systems of the states that included the territory of modern Belarus (Rzeczpospolita, Russian Empire, Poland, USSR), and the independent Republic of Belarus since 1991. The first own postage stamps were issued in 1920. Belarus has been a member of the Universal Postal Union since 1947.
