The history of mail and postage stamps of Uzbekistan covers three main stages of the development of postal services on the territory of this state - pre-revolutionary, Soviet and, since 1991, independent, which is also associated with the beginning of the issue of Uzbekistan’s own postage stamps in 1992. Uzbekistan has been a member of the Universal Postal Union since 1994.
