The postal and stamp history of Singapore, an island city-state in Southeast Asia, off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, includes periods of postal development during the colonial era (the British colonies of the Straits Settlements and Singapore, until 1959), with self-government from 1959 to 1963 year, within the Federation of Malaysia and after final independence since 1965. For each of these postal administrations, corresponding issues of postage stamps were made in Singapore.
