The history of mail and postage stamps of Kyrgyzstan covers the following main stages in the development of postal services on the territory of this state: pre-revolutionary (as part of the Russian Empire, until 1917), Soviet (1918-1991) and independent since 1992, which is also associated with the beginning of the issue of its own postal stamps stamps of Kyrgyzstan.
