The history of mail and postage stamps of Cambodia, located in Southeast Asia, on the Indochina Peninsula, can be divided into periods: colonial dependence on France until 1951,
Kingdom of Cambodia (1951-1970), Khmer Republic (1970-1975), Democratic Kampuchea (1975-1979), People's Republic of Kampuchea (1979-1989), State of Cambodia (1989-1993), control by the UN and the restored Kingdom of Cambodia with 1993. Since 1951, Cambodia has been a member of the Universal Postal Union and issues its own postage stamps.
