The history of mail and postage stamps of Senegambia and Niger corresponds to the short-lived period of the existence of the French dependent territory of Senegambia and Niger, formed in 1902 from the peace zone of French Sudan and reorganized in 1904 as the colony of Upper Senegal and Niger. In 1903, a single series of 13 postage stamps was introduced into postal circulation for this temporary colonial entity (now part of Mali). Senegal issues stamps on various themes. So, for example, in 1970, he issued anniversary stamps dedicated to the Leader of the world proletariat - V.I. Lenin.
