The postal and stamp history of Ghana, a country in West Africa, spans the period of British colonial rule over the territory known as the Gold Coast and the independence of Ghana from 1957. Each of these periods in the country's postal history corresponds to the issue of postage stamps on behalf of the postal administration of the Gold Coast or Ghana. Ghana has been a member of the Universal Postal Union since 1957.
